Rainbow Bridge via Pacific Crest Trail – 40-minute drive
An 8.3-mile out-and-back hike near Hesperia, CA, this moderately challenging stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail takes about 3 hours. Popular for hiking and running, it leads to the vibrant Rainbow Bridge. Best from January–October, the rocky, narrow path requires sun protection and water. Leashed dogs allowed (off-leash in some areas). The trail starts at Arrowhead Lake Road.

Victorville Mojave Riverwalk – 9-minute drive
A 4.5-mile out-and-back trail in Victorville, CA, this easy, paved route takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete. Popular for biking, running, and walking, it offers solitude during quieter times. Open year-round, the path stretches from Victor Valley College to Mojave Narrows Regional Park. Leashed dogs are welcome.
